Current Mission: Poland 2026

Why Poland?

From a young age, Kassidy felt the call to foreign missions but didn’t know where that call would lead her. As she prayed about where to go, the door opened up for her to step into Poland through the AIM Program. While she already had a pull on her heart for the people, once she met them, she felt such a strong burden for them that only continued to grow. Caleb felt the call to foreign missions more recently but just as strongly. As he prayed about where to go, Poland was laid on his heart as well. After having the chance to visit Poland for a short time, the burden he felt already grew into a deep love for the people. There are about 38 million people there who have yet be reached with the Gospel, and we can’t wait to help share it with them!

What We’ll Be Doing

Outreach

Different avenues of outreach are taken. These can include personal connection, English Club, community outreach, etc.

Discipleship

Focusing on equipping the locals with doctrine and tools needed to further reach their community.

Church Growth

Assisting the local church in Warsaw in weekly services, events, and different ministries in the church

About Poland

Timeline

The Kingdom of Poland first emerged in the year 1025. In 1795, Poland was wiped off the political map for 123 years until 1918 when it was restored as a country following WWI. In 1939, The Soviet Union invaded from the East and Germany invaded from the West during WWII. Although Germany left after the war ended, communist Russia continued to occupy Poland for a total of 54 years, only leaving the country in 1993.

History

Poland has a very long, deep history. To tell it all here would be impossible, but I encourage you to study it more on your own. Part of Poland’s history is one that the world knows well; WWII’s Holocaust took place from 1933-1945 and mostly occurred on Polish soil. The majority of concentration camps were located in Poland, including the infamous Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. Wherever you go in Poland, you cannot escape the past, but this helps stir up thankfulness for the freedom that exists there today. We look forward to the day when Poland will experience spiritual freedom in a revival that no walls can contain!

The Population of Poland as of 2026 is 37.28 million.

Religion

87% of Poland’s population identifies as Catholic.

Language

The official language of Poland is Polish, although over 50% of the population speaks English as a second language.

Capitol

Warsaw is the current capitol city of Poland, and is where the local church is located.

Geography

Poland is bordered by Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Germany, with access to the Baltic Sea. It is because of its strategic location that it has been the subject of many wars and has repeatedly been occupied by other countries.
